Ar-Rahman comes from the Arabic word: الرحمان which means the most merciful. In fact, it is one of 99 Holy names of Allah (SWT). This word is also the first verse of the Surah followed by some of the endless blessings and gifts Allah (SWT) granted us. This Surah in English translates to The Beneficent. Abu Ja`far Ibn Jarir recorded that Makna dari “Ya Allah”. 1. Memohon Perlindungan Kepada Allah. Salah satu makna dari kalimat “Ya Allah” adalah sebagai bentuk permohonan perlindungan kepada Allah SWT.
